Traditionally, December is a month when the young members of the Society of Danube Swabians meet to practice singing Christmas carols and brush up on the folkdances they will perform at various functions throughout the upcoming year. The Society's Children and Youth folkdance groups held their annual Christmas party on Friday, December 11 at their club house, and each member was asked to bring non-perishable food items and wrapped gifts for the Des Plaines Food Pantry and Self-Help Closet to help others who are experiencing a time of need this holiday season.
